Redruth to Camborne
A Spring bluebell walk via the Great Flat Lode and Treslothan
(8 miles)

Go down from the station, left under the viaduct and right up Trewirgie Road. Take a left fork up Trewirgie Hill taking a path right just after the lane bends left. Continue bearing left past old engine houses onto the Great Flat Lode Trail, with a detour through the mining works at Seleggan.

Continue along the trail with views of Carn Brea to the north. After Newton Moor follow the lane round to the left and take a footpath to the right up to Croft Common. Continue on into Troon, taking Pendarves Street towards Stennack. Turn right, then left through a gap in the wall into the woods.

On reaching a walled path crossing the woods you could turn right towards Treslothan, but a more interesting route visits the Giant's Quoit.

From Treslothan turn right and over the road onto a footpath towards a strip of woodland. Head left following and eventually crossing a stream.

The Rocks woodland is full of bluebells in the spring. Follow the paths towards the end, where you link up with a footpath into Camborne.
