Camborne to Hayle
Criss-crossing the railway line - Viaducts and Gwinear Road Station (10 miles)

From the station head into town along Cross Street, across Basset Road, through the graveyard turning left onto Rectory Road. Continue straight on via a footpath onto the lane into Penponds.

Go through the village until you reach a footpath to the right. This joins a bridleway, right under the twin railway bridges and through a farmyard. The first turning left up under the railway passes the Hood settlement. A footpath to the right crosses fields, then right over the railway bridge, left to Roseworthy Barton and up to the level crossing at Gwinear Road Station.

Once over the railway, take a bridleway right to Lanyon, then a footpath over fields to Gwinear. After lunch at the church, a footpath leads down to and under Angarrack Viaduct.

Carry straight on, to the West Cornwall Shopping Park. From Loggans Road take footpaths to Phillack church and up over the dunes to Mexico Towans. Follow the coast path left, dropping down to the sands, along the quay and to Hayle Station.

It's a 10 minute train ride back to Camborne.
