Comments regarding more detailed objections about the impact on my home, regarding overshadowing, loss of light and outlook. I have completed plans and posted them online at http://www.timebox.info/ents/LOL/plans.htm Photographic evidence to support these observations is at http://www.timebox.info/ents/LOL/index.htm Dining Room: Already quite a dark room, often needing electric light during the daytime. North facing, it receives no direct sunlight, but any extension upwards of the boundary wall would make it feel very enclosed. Kitchen: The only natural light is through the west facing side window, with direct afternoon sunlight. Any upward extension of the boundary wall, a mere 1.8m away, would significantly reduce the natural light level. The proposal fails to mention the kitchen window. Conservatory/Back Porch: A transparent kitchen extension/breakfast room, which transmits light to the above rooms, via their original sash windows. The proposed upward extension of the boundary wall directly blocks the side kitchen window, particularly given its height. I had expected the No.54 first floor proposal to extend no further than my conservatory. Bathroom: Having rear facing windows it is significantly brighter than the kitchen, although it has no right to light. Bedroom: Receives direct evening sunlight during the summer months, which would be totally blocked. The current outlook, which allows me to overlook the neighbouring gardens, shows that the first floor extension at No.52 does not extend the full length of their ground floor extension. The outlook from my bed would be completely blocked, from my desk reduced by about half. This would make the room feel more like a prison cell than a bedroom. Conclusion: The proposal states '... to lessen the impact on neighbouring properties'. The plans submitted seem to maximise, rather than minimise, the impact on my home.
